When I first looked at his artwork, I took some time looking at all of them closely, and they are all composed of very strange and varied food and objects, making the whole painting very … different. More so because these were painted in the late 1500s … a dark time in the world, it seems!
He sure is ingenius, especially when you look how he made everything fit. When I first saw these they looked a bit scary but when you look at them closely they are fabulous !
I had seen the first painting a number of times, but holey moley when I did research, I didn’t know there were so many wonderful fruit and vegetable creations! Thank you!

What they did have in the 1500 was time, lots of time !! And craftmanship ofcourse.

No toilets either, the street was one big “toilet” !! Imagine the stench !!!!
