So many details ! I wonder how much time the needed for paintings like that ! I’m always interested in the clothes they were wearing so many years ago. All made by hand !

It has been said that Giovanni Paolo Paniini (https://sundayeveningartgallery.com/2020/05/30/giovanni-paolo-panini/) painted both current and mythical landscapes of ancient Rome, and is great to see images of something that actually existed at the moment he painted, rather than a modernist’s guess.
